World Championship Metas

 

Metas for Great, Ultra, and Master League

Great League

The format will be Open Great League, but with a twist. It will be Show 8, Block 2, Ban 2. The first two slotted Pokémon will not be available to be banned. In this sense, each player can protect two picks prior to the ban phase. 

Ultra League

The format will be Open Ultra League, but with a twist. It will be Show 8, Block 2, Ban 2. The first two slotted Pokémon will not be available to be banned. In this sense, each player can protect two picks prior to the ban phase. 

Master League

This format will be standard Show 6 with no ban phase. Specialists have 8 points available to build their team based on the point structure below. 

S Tier: 4 Points 

Mewtwo, Dialga, Zacian, Solgaleo, Groudon, Mega Aggron, Mega Scizor, Mega Salamence 

A Tier: 3 Points 

Lugia, Ho-oh, Kyogre, Giratina Origin, Giratina Altered, Meloetta, Zarude, Mega Steelix 

B Tier: 2 Points 

Zekrom, Xerneas, Yveltal, Melmetal, Palkia, Dragonite, Reshiram, Rayquaza, Mega Charizard X, Mega Blastoise, Mega Slowbro 

C Tier: 1 Point 

Landorus Therian, Landorus Incarnate, Genesect, Mew, Florges, Buzzwole, Kyurem, Mega Venusaur, Mega Alakazam, Mega Blaziken, Mega Abomasnow, Mega Altaria

Any Pokémon not previously listed in Tiers S, A, B, and C. Battlefield Metas

Of the four Field Specialists roles, two Specialists will compete in the one Battlefield and two Specialists will compete in the other Battlefield.

Pandamonium Field

This battlefield, for the first time in Arena history, will progressively change from week to week. New Pokémon will be added or occasionally subtracted from the meta, based on recent meta trends.

Here is the initial list of eligible Pokémon, which will be expanded as the meta progresses. The format will be standard Show 6.

Echo Field

This battlefield will be Show 8 Ban 2. Shadow Pokémon are not allowed. In this format, players choose from slots filled some of the most popular Pokémon found in each of the Specialist Fields throughout the duration of Silph Factions. Some Pokémon can be found in multiple slots, due to being popular in multiple metas. Certain popular picks, such as Noctowl and Lanturn, have been purposefully omitted from the selection pool here.
